REVIEW: OreImo ~ Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga nai

hohoho ~ its been a long time since i have written an entry in this blog ~ today the anime Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai or better known as OreImo has ended. So, i decided to write a review! Though im not good at things like this.. Ill just write some random things so bear w/ me. :( Let's get this started.

Hmm.. honestly, at 1st this was a "incest" type anime :)) coz i didn't checked the genre on myanimelist :p I just saw it randomly. It looked decent so i added it in my watch list. The 1st few episodes really got my interest. So, the story kinda goes sumtin like this. The female protagonist Kousaka Kirino is not your average type "onii-chan loving" middle school girl. Everybody thinks high of her since she's smart, cute, and athletic. While the male protagonist Kousaka Kyousuke, her brother, is just your normal high school guy. I pretty much pitied him at 1st coz he's like invisible in their house :)) Kirino doesn't even talk to him. Until, one day he accidentally discovered that Kirino is a "closet otaku" meaning she's hiding her hobby from the others. And the worst part of it is she LOVES ero-games. That part made me LOLed hard :)) Kyousuke's lines and self talk parts are epic. He kinda reminded me of Kyon (from Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu).
Anyways, continuing... having Kirino's secret discovered. She seeks for Kyousuke's help and they called it something like "life counseling" or whatsoever. Of course, even though Kirino have always acted cold against him, no big brother would leave their little sister alone having that kind of problem. So, Kyousuke agreed. Thats the start of Kyousuke's adventure in the otaku world.
There's this one turning point that i really liked. The part on when their parents discovered Kirino's hobby. Their old man is strict and doesn't approve that kind of hobby. So, our resident big brother is to the rescue to convince their dad to approve Kirino's hobby. Here are some scenes that i liked and made me LOLed.
LOL at the game like choices :))

He's covering for Kirino here! and i love this line!

extreme epicness! he got punched by his dad in this one LOL

Well, i think i should end spouting spoilers here. Kyousuke had tons of epic adventure so if you haven't watched this series, I strongly suggest that you should. It has lot of laughs and cuteness. The animation is pretty decent too. The ending is pretty cool so im pretty sure many of you doesn't get disappointed. The only disappointing part is the series is too short and runs for 12 episodes only. I haven't checked the news around the net so im not sure if this will have a season 2. I do hope it would have one. All in all i can rate this an 8 or 8.5/10. So, before i hit the "Publish Post" button. I would like to leave a cute screenie of Kirino ~ from the last episode.
KYAAA! she said "Onegai" <3
Well, thats it! Sorry for the lame review ~ full of spoilers and stuffs xP like i said im not good at things like this. I just feel like spouting my random thoughts at this great anime. Till next time!

  1. hoo-hah! all hail imouto-con otakus! :P haven't watched this one yet tho. I'm still waiting for the Blurays which would have 4 (I think) additional episodes and a 'true' ending, different from the one the tv airing has.

(but after reading this I just might in a couple of hours LOL)
